Restorative Nursing Coordinator/CNA
Golden LivingCenter – Prairie Hills

Cindy Squires has been employed with Golden LivingCenter - Prairie Hills since 1984, when at the age of 18 she was hired as a Certified Nurses Aide. Throughout her tenure she has adapted to the many roles required of her, has become a certified medication aide, has played an integral role in coaching and mentoring other staff, and is currently the facility’s restorative nursing coordinator.

Cindy is well-known for her laugh and very up-beat positive attitude. You can usually hear her laugh coming down the halls and it’s very contagious. She has seen many changes occur over the years and always remains optimistic. If an extra project arises, you can depend on Cindy to accomplish the task at hand. She is truly an inspiration and a great role model to our employees.

Cindy incorporates humor and fun into her work and in return is loved by our residents. They often will ask for Cindy on her days off or when she is on vacation. She is a very caring and compassionate person and is also not afraid to be an advocate for the residents if the need arises.

Currently, Cindy has completed the third and final module of our CNA Career Ladder Program. She was selected for this program because of her realistic and objective approach to her work. Cindy has been nominated employee of the month numerous times over the years and was named 2008 Employee of the Year at her LivingCenter.
